Duties and taxes.

When you buy internationally, you may have to pay import fees or duties when your order arrives at the border of your country. Amazon.com can, on your authorization, take an import fee deposit, which can be used by the carrier to pay the duties that Amazon estimate you may be eligible for. You will be refunded if the actual fees are less than the deposit taken, if the fees are more you won’t be asked to pay any extra. It can take up to 60 days from the shipment date.

Import duty deposit amount is normally calculated using the product price and the shipping cost. Paying the import duty deposit should mean that shipping times are not delayed at the border as your package will pass with the appropriate customs declarations and fees paid.
